The Appleseed Project is sponsored by the (RWVA) Revoluntionary War Veterans Association. "Appleseeds" are weekend-long events held all over the nation to teach the American tradition of rifle marksmanship.
Saturday: various key tools of marksmanship--the Six Steps of Firing the Shot, the position Steady Hold Factors, NPOA, Talking Targets, IMC--everything you need to know, in order to shoot well with a rifle.
Sunday: polish what was learned Saturday. Goal is to take the "100-yard shooters" of Saturday morning and turn them into "300-yard shooters" by Sunday afternoon.
The Appleseed shoot uses a 25 meter range for the most part. All the targets used at 25 meters are scaled down to represent 100, 200, 300 and 400 meter targets. Only room for 40 shooters on the line.
