Mauser Challenge Match
Sept. 6, 2008
Hoffland Range

8:30 Sight In -- 10:00 Start

The Mauser Challenge Match will be shot under the following rules.

1. Mauser military surplus rifles only. Rifle will be in as issued condition.

2. Sniper rifles are allowed as long as they are in original military configuration.

3. Ammo is up to the shooter. As long as it is safe for your rifle.

4. Spotting will be allowed with binoculars only. There weren't any Kowa scopes on the Eastern front!

Course of fire:
100 yd. offhand -- 10 rounds
200 - 300 - 400 yd. -- 10 rounds at each distance, any position (to include use of bench)

Scoring is simple--if you hit the target, it counts for score. Shooters will be allowed 2 sighter rounds before shooting for score but must declare their wish for sighter rounds. Otherwise, all shots will be counted for score.

Just for fun I will break the scoring down by country of issue for each Mauser as well as who won. This match is for fun so if you are cranky or hard to get along with, do us all a favor and go fishing instead.

Call if you have any questions.
